The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a 4-0 start to the 2024 season, but have potentially lost another star player long term.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice is believed to have suffered a torn ACL in his right knee, after colliding with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Rice will have an MRI to confirm the damage today.
Rice is the latest playmaker to suffer a major injury, after free agent signing Hollywood Brown suffered a sternoclavicular injury that will keep him out the entire season, and running back Isiah Pacheco broke his leg in Week 2, and is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
Rice entered the game leading the NFL in catches and second in the league in receiving yards. The second round pick in 2023 emerged as an immediate star, catching 79 passes for 938 yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie season.
