
John grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. but has been in the Kansas and Oklahoma area for nearly 40 years. He began his radio career when he began working at the campus radio station in 1974 while in college at the University of Dayton. Since that time he has worked at radio stations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Kansas. His experience includes everything from on-air, programming, operations and sales. He has been at the Coffeyville radio stations for the better part of 27 years. As General Manager of KGGF-AM/FM, KUSN-FM and KQQF-FM he is responsible for all aspects of the station's operations, concentrating on sales growth. John is active in the community serving on numerous Boards, the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce, as well as past Chairman of the Chamber Board and the Coffeyville Rotary Club and has served as past-president of that organization. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. John has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

James was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. He’s been in broadcasting since age 14 when he built a low-power AM and FM radio station in the corner of his bedroom. During high school, James helped out at the local UHF TV station in Wichita doing everything from directing to hosting his own shows. James is a proud Wildcat and was program director and operations manager of the student station at Kansas State University where he studied journalism. During college he also worked at commercial stations in Manhattan and Abilene, Kansas. After graduation, James did the logical thing and fixed up a 1975 Winnebago with help from his parents and traveled the country. He ended up in the middle of the desert in Parker, Arizona where he lived in front of a radio station for a while. James then drove to Arkansas and started working at and living on top of a decommissioned Titan II missile silo turned AirBnb and event center and also gave tours of the USS Razorback, a WWII submarine in Little Rock. In his spare time James enjoys the hobby of amateur radio and loves talking with people around the world on his own station. He also enjoys traveling and visiting his family’s tree farm in northern Minnesota which was recently recognized as a 2022 Century Farm. James shares his Winnebago with a Shiba Inu named Ash.

Dawn joined the KGGF family on February 8th, 2021. She spent part of her younger years in Hiawatha, Kansas before finishing her schooling in Mesquite, Texas. She moved to central Oklahoma in 2006 with her husband, where they finished raising their 4 kids. They now have 7 grandchildren…the joys of their lives. They bought their retirement home in Bartlesville in 2020 and have enjoyed living in green country more than they expected. Dawn recently lost her husband suddenly to a heart disease they were not aware of and sleep apnea, and would love to become an advocate to help others stay on top of their health.
Dawn has a background in marketing, sales, accounting, project management, and customer service, all of which will be very useful as our new traffic coordinator/office manager. She enjoys people in general and is sure to visit with you when you come in the office. Dawn believes that music heals everything, so working here is a true blessing.

Growing up in Coffeyville, music has always been a big part of Kenna's life. She recently made the move to Independence, where she got her first home and is excited to be a part of the community.
Kenna joined the KGGF team on March 1, 2026, as an Office Assistant. Before coming to Coffeyville, she spent three years working as an Administrative Assistant at KGGF's sister stations in Bartlesville, OK. In her role, she helps greet visitors, answer phones, and assist the team by creating documents and keeping the office running smoothly.
Kenna graduated from Independence High School in 2024, where she had the opportunity to attend Kansas State Choirs two years in a row. Her love from music has always been strong, and she enjoys listening to all different kinds of music. Being a part of a radio station where music plays such an important role makes this job especially meaningful to her.

Stef joined the KGGF family in October of 2019. She's in charge of writing and producing the commercials you hear on all the stations. Plus, she's the host of 104.1 KGGF FM's Request show, "Remember When...?" each weekday from 11 to 1, playing all those great songs from the late '60s through the mid-'80s! Stefanie has been in radio since 1984 and absolutely loves the creativity radio can bring. She's been on the air in Iowa, Illinois, and Oklahoma and now settled in Coffeyville, Stef and her husband, Kelley, along with their two huge Bouvier Des Flandres dogs Tristan and Maggie, have found southeast Kansas extremely warm and welcoming. Movies, music and reality TV are her passions, as well as attending and performing live theatre.

Penny, a die-hard Denver Broncos fan originates from Western Colorado. She currently lives in Caney with her husband and four-legged fur baby, Elle. Penny is a marketing and advertising professional with over 35 years of experience under her belt. Straightforward and integrity-driven, her goal is to provide the tools necessary for businesses to thrive and succeed in any economy.
Penny is a proud mother of two daughters, Amber and Sarah. Amber is the Assistant Principal at the Fort Scott High School and Sarah is a Clinical Addiction Counselor in Pittsburg. Her children have blessed her with seven wonderful grandchildren. Penny is very passionate about saving any and all animals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, attending concerts and road trips!

Kelley joined the KGGF team September 2025. He has an extensive Ag background with over 35 years of grain merchandise and commodity brokerage experience. He prides himself on putting his customers first and doing what is best for them to grow their business. Having spent the majority of his life in Iowa, he appreciates the winters in Kansas. Kelley enjoys following the Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs!
William grew up in the Tampa Bay region of Florida, but his time in broadcasting has taken him throughout the country.
While attending Florida State University, William served as the sports director of the student radio station and was the voice of Tallahassee State College athletics while rooting on his lifelong Seminoles.
After graduating, William took a job in South Dakota as a sports announcer at a radio station. He has also served as the voice of two collegiate summer baseball teams, the DeLand Suns in 2023 and the Chillicothe Mudcats in 2025. He joined the KGGF team in March of 2026 as their Sports Director.
His favorite part of the job is telling the stories of the teams people love. When not behind a microphone, William is probably at a sporting event somewhere or watching his beloved Tampa Bay and Florida State teams.

Sheri is a native of southeast Kansas having grown up in Independence. She started her radio career at age 16 in Independence and from there moved onto Wichita State University where she majored in broadcasting. She met her husband there after he won a trivia contest about a Steve Martin movie on her radio show. From Wichita, they relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska, and then to Houston, Texas. Since the heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast made Kansas weather seem cool and temperate, they returned to Independence to raise their two boys.

Matt is from Adair, Oklahoma and attended Adair High School where he was involved in FFA. He attended Rogers State University and worked three years for the athletic department and hosted a Sports Talk show on the college's radio station for three years as well. Matt's official job title is Snack Time Influencer, but he is the utility player for the station and does pretty much whatever Kaleb or John tell him to. Matt is the voice of the Nado football team and boys and girls basketball teams. Matt also helps local clients business grow through sales at kggf. He is a huge sports fan, is a pick eater and will argue about almost anything with anybody. Also, a hot dog is NOT a sandwich.

Scott Maples is a Coffeyville native and takes care of keeping all our games and remote broadcasts running smoothly. While most of the time he works behind the scenes, you can hear him on The Old Country Church every Sunday on KUSN at
10 a.m., playing all your old-time gospel favorites. You can also hear Scott helping out with Saturday Open Line on The Mighty 690 and he makes sure all the Sunday church services run as well. In his spare time Scott enjoys following CCC Ravens and the Kansas Jayhawks and working in his wood shop.

Tina Romine is a native of Coffeyville. She is married to Jeremy, they have 2 wonderful children; Kolby & Kenna. Her hobbies include; cake decorating, anything to do with the beach and making crafts. She loves spending time with her family and volunteering for local events. She fell in love with graphic design while working for Prestige Cabinets, where she worked for 10 years before the company was bought out and disbanded.
