Two Men Arrested on Drug Charges, Fleeing

Two men were arrested early Monday morning on a variety of charges.

The Parsons Police Department received a call about a suspicious vehicle that had been parked behind a tree at the baseball fields off of Wing. When officers arrived, they were able to identify the occupants as 26-year-old Tyler Dwaine Vickrey of Parsons, and 25-year-old Trenton Daniel Holzrichter of Fredonia.

Vickrey became spooked and sped off in the vehicle initiating a pursuit. After a lengthy chase, Vickrey and Holzrichter were apprehended by pursuing officers. During a search of the vehicle, officers located illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The officers also found property in the vehicle that is leading to further investigations for possible thefts.

Vickrey faces numerous charges including Fleeing and various drug and traffic charges. Holzrichter is being charged with Possession of Marijuana. The duo was transported to the Parsons Police Department to be held until their first appearance in front of a Labette County Judge.

This is not the first run-in with law enforcement for Vickrey. He was currently out on bond after he was arrested by Parsons Police on March 31st for an outstanding warrant and Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance. He was also arrested last year after an explosive device was discovered in his car.
