A sudden closing of the Gregg Theatre in Sedan has prompted some members of the community to step in and help save it.

The Facebook group "Save the Gregg" is encouraging those in to send donations to a local bank in the community, indicating in the memo line that the money should be used to save the volunteer, non-profit theater. According to group admins, the theater should be saved as the space has been used for more than just movies, and will continue to be used in the same ways in the future.

Last week, the Gregg Theatre announced it was closing after unexpected repair costs left them unable to operate. The estimated costs came in at just over $8,000.
