The Gregg Theater in Sedan is closing down after recent costs have left them unable to operate.

The volunteer, non-profit movie theater announced via Facebook that equipment failures have left them with an estimated repair cost of $8,620 that they "do not have, or expect to have." With that in mind, the theater said it has no choice but to close.

Numerous citizens and organizations in Chautauqua County have expressed interest in helping, but as of now, nothing is set in stone.
