A $5,000 reward is being offered for the information leading to the capture of two escapees from the Cherokee County Jail.

Mark Hopkins II and Michael Martsolf escaped from the facility in Columbus at 11:00 pm Monday. Hopkins was being held in connection to a June 2020 double homicide Martsolf was being held on felony narcotics charges. Both should be considered dangerous.

Deputies have conducted numerous interviews, search warrants and have recovered physical evidence. The passenger car that was in the original story was also recovered.

Anyone with information as to Hopkin's and Martsolf's whereabouts are asked to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office at 620- 429-3992.
