Two men have escaped from the Cherokee County Jail in Columbus. Mark Gerald Hopkins II and Michael Wayne Martsolf were noticed missing at around 11:00 pm Monday.

Hopkins was being held and tried for a double homicide and Martsolf was incarcerated for drug-related crimes. Hopkins and Martsolf both have extensive tattoos throughout their body.

The men may be in a 2008 Honda Accord with Missouri tag LG2X0F. This vehicle fled from local law enforcement near the jail around 3:20 this morning. Hopkins and Martsolf are to be considered armed and dangerous. If located, immediately call 911 or the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office at 620-429-3992.
