Trines John Head

Trines John Head, 68, of Coffeyville passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026, at his home.

He was born on March 9, 1958, in Fresno, California to Trines Ray Head and Diantha Gonsalves. He brought light and laughter to all who knew him. An adventurous spirit from the start, Trines grew up in Santa Clara, California where he demonstrated his courage and teamwork as a member of the Peterson High School football and wrestling teams. Following high school, his unwavering loyalty to his country led him to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, Trines channeled his passion for problem-solving and leadership into a successful career as a project manager at Tremco, where he dedicated his talents to enhancing thermal technology systems in government buildings and schools.

Trines was not only accomplished professionally but also deeply cherished in his personal life. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he found happiness in the warmth of family gatherings and the simple joys of life. Trines was happiest when surrounded by nature, whether camping or fishing, and he possessed a culinary flair that delighted friends and family alike. He was a loyal fan of the OU Sooners and the Kansas City Chiefs, whose games he eagerly anticipated. His love for the ocean was profound, and he was a certified scuba diver who found peace beneath the waves. A man of many talents and interests, Trines was also an Eagle Scout and an active member of the NRA, V.F.W., and the American Legion.

Trines leaves behind his beloved wife, Sheri (Sueltz), and a large, loving family, including his children Jacob (Joanna) Storm, Jonathan Storm, Bobbie (Ryan) Howell, Christian Stormett, Solomon (Brittany) Stormett, Samuel (Erica) Stormett, Elizabeth Stormett; adopted granddaughter Lainee Head; step-sons Ryan (Chelsey) Schlotfelt, and Kyle Schlotfelt, as well as his brother Joseph (Lenore) Gonsalves, sister Theresa Tucker, and favorite uncle Bill Tucker. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will dearly miss his warmth and guidance.

The family will greet friends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
