Marlon E. Nolte

 

Marlon E. Nolte, age 59, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, peacefully at home. 

 

Marlon was born on March 26, 1967, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Walter “Walt” and Alta “Mae” (Riley) Nolte.  Marlon attended local schools and graduated from Lenapah High School with the class of 1985.  He was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic.  He spent the majority of his career as a rigger for N & S Movers. 

 

Marlon believed life was meant to be lived to the fullest.  He knew the importance of letting loose, sharing a laugh, and making memories with the people he loved.  Whether it was gathering with family, spending time with friends, or enjoying life’s simple pleasures, he worked hard but played harder.  Above all else, his greatest joy was his family, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did. 

 

Surviving to honor his memory are his sons, Nathan Nolte and wife, Malia, Brandon Nolte and wife, Taylor, his grandchildren, Augustus, Maddie, Pecos and Mason; siblings, Millard Nolte and wife, Ali, Mark Nolte and wife, Mary, Clementine Henning and husband, Mike, Roxie Wyrick and Alta Nolte, along with many extended family members and friends.  Marlon was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Mae Nolte. 

 

Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. 

 

Following the visitation, to honor Marlon’s wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home. 

 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held by the family on Friday, July 31, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m. at Marlon’s residence located at 5475 Old Hwy Rd, South Coffeyville, Oklahoma 74072.
