Sheryl An Runyon, 69, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her throughout her life.
Born on April 26, 1957, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, Sheryl was the daughter of Robert Eugene Guy and Wanda Faye Guy. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Guy, and is survived by her mother, Wanda Guy.
Sheryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and her deep love for her family. She had a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart, and a willingness to help anyone in need. She was known for listening without judgment, offering encouragement freely, and putting others before herself.
Sheryl is survived by her loving husband, Gary Runyon, whom she met in 2016 at City Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Their shared faith brought them together, and they were married on August 26, 2016. Through their marriage, Sheryl was blessed with a stepson, Chad Runyon.
She is also survived by her two sons, J.R. King and wife Mandy King, and Michael King and Mallory Waggoner. Sheryl was a proud and loving grandmother to Ethan King, Eli King, Addison King, Lexi King, Nolan King, and Piper King. She also cherished her bonus grandchildren, Kallie Ghan and Lucas Smith.
Sheryl is survived by her sisters, Sendie Rymer residing in Florida and Sharla Mangan residing in Oklahoma, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
She was previously married to Clark King, the father of her sons, J.R. and Michael.
A woman of many talents and interests, Sheryl found joy in the beauty of God’s creation. She loved taking photographs of her family, the outdoors, and the vibrant colors of the sky. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed painting, quilting, and capturing scenic moments through photography. Her artistic gifts reflected the beauty she saw in the world around her.
Above all, Sheryl treasured time spent with her family. Whether celebrating special occasions, creating lasting memories with her grandchildren, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, family was always at the center of her life.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved so dearly. Her legacy of faith, kindness, creativity, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

There will be no funeral service except for a small gathering of immediate family that will be held in Coffeyville, KS
Following Sheryl’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
