LaDonna Lorene Robson, age 82, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
LaDonna was born on October 18, 1943, in Navarre, Kansas to Hiram and Agnes (Hartman) Sheets. She graduated from Dickinson County Community High School with the class of 1961. She furthered her education by completing cosmetology school in Salina, Kansas.
LaDonna was united in marriage to Lester Raymond Sjolander. From their union six children were born, Robert, Donald, Ronald, Bob, Cheri and LaDonna Raylene. The couple would later divorce, Lester preceded her in death.
On September 1, 1989, she married Charles “Ted” Robson in Neodesha, Kansas. The couple blended their families and enjoyed 33 years of being together. They were loyal and faithful members of the Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville. In 2000, Ted and LaDonna took a Witness Trip to Paris and loved every minute of it. They also enjoyed attending FKHS and CCC sporting events whenever they could. Ted preceded her in death on December 8, 2022.
LaDonna was a very hard worker throughout her life. She worked as a shift lead at Western Publishing then she worked many years in the Medical Records Department at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center until her retirement. In recent years you could spot her working downtown in Coffeyville at the Sunflower Soda Fountain where she waited tables and loved getting to see and visit with others. LaDonna was an active volunteer with the church. She played the organ and held bible study every Thursday at the local nursing home. She was a member of the local Sweet Adelines club. LaDonna had a passion for taking care of others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Sjolander and wife, Trudy of Cedar Falls, IA, Donald Sjolander of Coffeyville, KS, Ronald Sjolander and wife, Debi of Parsons, KS and Bob Sjolander and wife, Diane of Redmond, OR; Ted’s children: sons, Robert Robson of Coffeyville, KS, Russel Robson and wife, Connie of Coffeyville, KS, Randy Robson and wife, Jane of Topeka, KS, Ricky Robson and wife, Kim of Belton, Missouri, Rodney Robson and wife, Carla of Coffeyville, KS; daughter, Regina Springer and husband, Jeffrey of Montgomery, TX; seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her brother, Ronald Sheet and wife, Freda of Independence, KS; sister, Anita Rucker and husband, Fred of Yukon, Oklahoma along with numerous extended family members and friends. LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Agnes Sheets; husband, Charles “Ted” Robson; infant daughter, LaDonna Raylene Sjolander; daughter, Cheri Dloughy and best friend, JoAnn Campbell.
Visitation will be held at David W. Barnes Funeral Home on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will be present to greet friends on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville. Pastor Mark Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at Pumpkin Creek Cemetery, east of Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Central Church of the Nazarene or The Journey Home; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
