Amy Marie Roesky of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in her home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, surrounded by her beloved children.
Amy Marie was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on December 10,1933 to Frank and Lucile (Bollinger) Kiddoo.
Amy attended Coffeyville schools and graduated Field Kindley High school in 1951, and Coffeyville Community College in 1953. Following College Amy taught Elementary school at Cherryvale, enjoying teaching from 1953-1955.
In 1954 Amy married Emil William Roesky, while he was on leave from the Army. They married at the First Presbyterian Church. Amy and Emil were active members of the church with Amy serving as church Elder and Deacon. She was a lifelong member of Presbyterian Women and has been Director of the Presbyterian Church Thrift Store for 50 years.
Amy had worked many retail jobs around Coffeyville, Mode-o-Day Dress shop, Copper Penny, Tisket-a-Tasket, Cranberry Crossing and Jan L Flowers. While at Jan L Flowers Amy enjoyed sharing her love of the Christmas season and putting smiles on many friends’ faces. Being an avid Bridge player, Amy enjoyed her weekly matches with her dear friends and sharing her love of holidays with the neighborhood children.
Amy is preceded in death by her parents, son Billy, husband Emil, son-in -law Tom Schultz and sister Betty Miller. She is survived by daughters Celia Schultz, Diane Earnest (Russell), and son Robert (Robin), and sister Peggy Clabough, and special longtime friend Mary Ann Trask all of Coffeyville. Amy was extremely proud of her 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor Amy’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, located at 2405 Woodland Avenue in Coffeyville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and offer condolences from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on the same day and at the same location.
Following the service, Amy will be laid to rest beside her husband Emil and son Billy at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
