Linda Kay (Muller) Hawley, age 81, of Liberty, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, at CRMC in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Kay was born on July 28, 1944, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Robert and Sybil (Nichols) Muller. She grew up on the family farm near Lover’s Leap in rural Independence and attended Independence High School, where she proudly graduated.
During her time in California, Kay met and married her husband, Paul Hawley. Following their retirement, they chose to make Liberty their home in 2016.
Kay had a passion for reading, enjoyed creating Diamond Dot art, and loved tending to her garden.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Paul; her two sons, Jeff and Kevin Hawley; four grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bobby Hawley, and sister Fayrean Lewman.
