Clark Lee High, age 81, of rural Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2026.
Clark was born on July 24, 1944, in Elk City, Kansas to Roy. and Thelma (Tharp) High. He attended local schools and earned his high school diploma. For a time, he lived in Moline, Kansas then moved to Coffeyville later in life. Clark worked for the City of Coffeyville in roadway maintenance for several years and was a Union Labor local member. His hobbies included fishing, coon hunting, raising cattle, training horses and working in the hayfields. Most of all he loved the time he spent with his family.
Surviving to honor his memory are his loving wife, Sharon (Males) High of the home; son, Jeff High and wife, Melissa and grandchildren, Rachel, Haille, Emylee and Connor High all of Colorado; his grandson that he raised like a son, Noah VanBuren and wife, Lacy and their children, Dagen, Braxton, Titus and Blake; step-son Reese Skinner and wife, Rebecca Northern and grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Jacob Northern all of Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald High of Missouri, Danny High of Neodesha, Kansas along with numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Thelma High, brothers, Jack and Jim High.
Following Clark’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. No public services are scheduled at this time.
