Wanda Mae Garman McDonald, age 86, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Wanda was born on August 20, 1939, in Cherryvale, Kansas to Frank and Gladys (Bruington) Smith. She attended rural schools growing up.
On August 20, 1958, she was united in marriage to Foney S. Garman. From this union three children were born, Norman, and twins, Lonnie and Connie. Foney preceded her in death in January of 1987. In the early 1990’s she married Cash McDonald. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Wanda worked in the shipping department for ACC for many years. She loved horses, birds, watching old westerns, country music, and flowers.
She enjoyed doing embroidery and was a talented seamstress. For many years she loved taking trips to Branson, Missouri where she enjoyed going to the shows and meeting many of the local talent. Her grandchildren all called her “Grandma Cheeto” because she always brought them Cheetos.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Norman Garman and wife, Carolyn, Lonnie Garman; daughter, Connie Chapman; grandchildren, Tiffani Kline, Heather Moor, Sheila Pineda, Collin Bean, Cameron Chapman, Cory (wife Emma) Chapman; great grandchildren, Joslyn Chapman, Alistair Kline, Heaven Moor, Clayton Moor, Lexi Moor, Landon Bean, Arayah Marshall, Izzy Pineda, Adalyn Chapman, Cooper Chapman; sister, Esther Henry; brother, Fred Smith and wife, Kathy. Wanda is also survived by Cash’s children and grandchildren along with numerous extended family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held for friends and family throughout the day on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Grady Miller will officiate.
