Rickey Gene Greenlee

Rickey Gene Greenlee, age 65, of rural Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Vinita, Oklahoma. 

 

Rick was born on November 9, 1959, in Jasper, Missouri to Edger and Mildered Greenlee. He grew up in Jasper where he attended local schools and graduated high school.  Rick was hard working and dedicated, the majority of his career was working at Coffeyville Resources/CVR Energy as an Instrument Tech where he made many lifelong friendships.  Rick loved animals, his hobbies included fishing, camping, traveling and going to the lake.

 

On May 30, 1980, Rick was united in marriage to Lisa Menzies in Greenfield, Missouri.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas where they raised their son, Lucas.  They enjoyed fishing, camping and taking their fifth wheel to Big Hill Lake.  Lisa preceded him in death on October 14, 2009. 

 

Rick later met and fell in love with Karen Cell, the couple were united in marriage on November 12, 2012.  They enjoyed traveling the country and shared a love for OU football.  Karen preceded him in death on July 19, 2022. 

 

In 2023, he began sharing life with Teresa Gofourth, they often spent weekends at Grand Lake, riding on the side-by-side, fishing, and enjoying life together with family and friends. She's brought endless fun, love and laughter to the years they've had together. 

 

Surviving to honor his memory is his son, Lucas Greenlee and wife, Kayli of Caney, Kansas; grandchildren, Tucker, Traxcyn and Tynlee; companion, Teresa Gofourth along with numerous extended family members and many close friends.  Rick was preceded in death by his parents Edger and Mildered Greenlee; wives, Lisa Greenlee and Karen Greenlee along with several of his siblings.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  The family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday evening to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville.  Pastor Doug Mund will officiate.  Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. 

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Coffeyville Friends of Animals; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
