Jackie Sue Scott, age 71, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Jackie was born on June 26, 1953, in Coffeyville to Jack and Catherine (Brown) Conklin. Growing up, the family moved around until her 6th grade year when they returned to Coffeyville. Jackie attended local schools, graduating from Field Kindley High School.
On July 15, 1970, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles Scott, Jr. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, of this union a son, Charles Scott III was born. Jackie loved being a wife and mother. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, sewing, crafting and painting.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles Scott, Jr.; her siblings, Patty (Bill) Kinsey, Bill’ Conklin, Elizabeth (Robert) Cunningham along with numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Catherine Conklin, her son, Charles Scott III; brother, Donald Conklin and his wife, Tammy.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Pastor Gary Close will officiate. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
