Naomi Lee Hoggatt, 95, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, May 6, 2025, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

 

She was born on July 19, 1929, at Oswego, Kansas to Samuel and Susie (Stice) Smith. Naomi grew up and attended school in the Oswego area.

 

In 1948 she married Harley "Jack" Hoggatt at Oswego.  Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm in Labette County northeast of Coffeyville.  The couple later divorced.

 

Naomi worked for over 25 years at the Pig Stand in Coffeyville until she retired. In her free time Naomi enjoyed cooking, fishing, mowing her lawn (which she continued well into her 80’s), watching birds and squirrels in the yard and spending time surrounded by her family.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Patty Warren of Coffeyville; her grandchildren, David Hoggatt of Independence, Kevin Hoggatt of Coffeyville, Donnie Hoggatt and wife Emmalee of Independence, Brittany (Hoggatt) Rail and husband Nate of Cherryvale, Travis Warren of Coffeyville, and Matthew Warren of Depeu, New York; fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Susie Smith; three sons, Danny Hoggatt, Ronnie Hoggatt, and Don Hoggatt; and nine sisters.

 

A Graveside Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Union Cemetery northeast of Coffeyville.

 

Visitation with the family greeting friends will be on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
