Michelle Leann Hudson, age 57, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at her home.
Michelle was born on February 18, 1968, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Charles “Chuck” England and Leanna (Oskison) Pitts. She grew up in Coffeyville attending local schools until the 6th grade. She then moved to Independence, Kansas where she graduated from Independence High School. Michelle also attended classes at Coffeyville Community College.
On April 28, 1994, she was united in marriage to Charlie Hudson at Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, Kansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their kids, Zach and Ashley.
As a teenager, Michelle worked for Gibsons, then from 1988 until 1996 she worked at Automotive Controls Corporation. She worked part time for a while at Golden Books and became a caregiver for Comforting Angels. Michelle took care of her elderly grandparents. Her most cherished job of all was being a homemaker. She loved taking care of her family. There wasn’t a parent-teacher conference, ball game or concert that she didn’t attend. Most recently she enjoyed attending all the events her grandchildren had going on. She was the backbone of their family and held everyone together. Michelle had a knack for making their house a home, with family pictures and her latest Pinterest inspired crafts on display, she always made it feel special.
Michelle was a member of Tyro Christian Church; she loved animals and the outdoors; she would sit in the tree stand and watch the wildlife. She adored her parents and loved her family fiercely. She was a strong, compassionate and loving person who touched the lives of all she met.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charlie Hudson and granddaughter, Isabella Hudson of the home; son, Zachary Hudson of Coffeyville, Kansas; daughter, Ashley Hudson of Coffeyville, Kansas; grandchildren, Isabella Hudson, Liam Hudson and Desmond Cheshier; father, Chuck (Ann) England of Independence, Kansas; sister, Sherri (Billy) Belcher of Neodesha, Kansas; step sisters, Yvonne (Frank) Hull of rural Coffeyville, Kansas, Tammy (Chad) Bembrick of Wathena, Kansas, along with numerous extended family member and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leanna Pitts.
