Samuel Lamar Johnson was born on August 12, 1971 to Juanita Johnson and Samuel Robinson in Coffeyville, Kansas. He departed this Life on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Cherryvale Nursing home.
Sam grew up in Coffeyville attending grade school thru high school. He later went to Job Corp where he earned his G.E.D. During his childhood he was raised by his cousins Tereska Pittman (Ron) and Anthony Johnson.
Sam worked at Acme Foundry until his health caused him to retire. One of Sam's favorite pastimes was making everyone around him laugh. He could really light up a room. He never had a dull moment. Sam was a member of the Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his Church family.
Sam leaves to cherish his memories are his Mother Juanita Johnson (L.C.) Father: Samuel Robinson, Four sisters: Rhonda Johnson, Latisha Johnson (Rocky), Nikki Robinson, and Crystal Vernon. Brothers: Stacey (Pamela), Justin (LaKisha), Samuel J.R., Michael, Jessie, Kamaro, and Donta. And special cousins Marvis Holbert(Kristi) and Henry Nichols whom was raised as brothers. Uncle Charles Johnson. As well as a host of Nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved with all his heart. Sam will be missed by many family and friends alike.
He was preceded in Death by Maternal Grandparents: Redrick and Ocie Johnson Sr., Paternal Grandparents: Elizabeth Robinson and Charlie Robertson, Aunts: Amelia Johnson, Ruth Holbert, Ruby Farris and Louvenia Vaughn. Uncles: Redrick Johnson Jr., Wilson Robertson. Issac Robertson and Earl Robertson. Cousins : Mya Johnson, Sydney Burnett, Kevin Colbert and Gauis Robertson.
Home going services will be held on March 1, 2025 at 11:00am at the Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church.
