Robert "Bob" Glen Eden

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Robert "Bob" Glen Eden, who left us on February 17, 2025. Born on June 23, 1953, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the family moved back to Liberty after his father's discharge from the military.

Bob, was a loyal and humble man, appreciated for his dedication and reliability by all who knew him. Bob held a strong work ethic, which was evident throughout his life. He attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1971. He worked diligently on the family farm in his youth, and later held positions at Pepsi, Dixon Construction, and Hayes Construction. His industrious spirit led him to own a motorcycle salvage and Bob's Golf Carts. A dedicated laborer in the general construction business, Bob was reliable, always standing ready to lend a hand. Outside of work, Robert was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed men's fast pitch softball, bowling, and more recently, golfing. In his younger years, he also enjoyed hunting.

However, what mattered most to Robert was his family. He was a loving husband to Mary Eden of the home, whom he married on February 3, 1989. He was also a cherished stepfather to Angela (Matt) Womeldroff, Amber (Shawn) Parker, and Ashely (Kent) Woods and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Judy (Brion) Hayes, his nephew Mike Hayes, his niece Nikki (Brett) Trotter, and his great-niece and great-nephew, Gracie Hayes and Nash Trotter. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William Eden and Deloris Kolb, and his sister, Patti Sears. Robert's life was a testament as he lived a life full of humility, loyalty, and dedication. He was a beacon of reliability, and his actions will continue to resonate with all who knew him.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 5:00 to 7:00pm at David W. Barnes Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at the First Assembly of God, 1504 West 8th Street, Coffeyville, Kansas, 67337. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the First Assembly of God and they may be left with or sent in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
