William "Bill" Leroy Williamson

William "Bill" Leroy Williamson, 86, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on August 11, 1938, in Coffeyville, Kansas to William Lorenzo and Rachel Jane (Foust) Williamson. He grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1956.  Following high school he enlisted in the U.S Navy where he was stationed in various locations including San Diego, California, Memphis, Tennessee, Hawaii, Alameda, California, San Francisco, California, Guam, Corpus Christi, Texas, Japan, Vietnam, and Pensacola, Florida. It was while living in Pensacola that Bill graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Engineering.

In 1959 he married Carol Louise Speck, they had two children, Blane and Amy. The couple later divorced.

On November 6, 1998, he married Pamela Sue (Grandclair) Grewell and gained two more daughters Pama Gay and Robin.

After retiring from the Navy Bill returned to Coffeyville and went to work for Haliburton and had a successful career as an Engineer in the Petroleum Industry. They moved him to Davis, Oklahoma where he was plant manager, later moving him to Duncan, Oklahoma where he was head of international manufacturing.  He was a dedicated professional who brought his expertise to many projects, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He was also active in his community, serving as a member of the Masonic Lodge and served as United Way President in Duncan, Oklahoma. After retiring from Haliburton he moved back to the area where he made his home on Havana Lake. Bill was a member of the Coffeyville Country Club. He coached Men's and Women's golf at Coffeyville Community College for many years. He found joy in playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. His love for these pursuits was only surpassed by his love for his family.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Pamela Williamson; daughters Amy Williamson, Pama Gay Foster, and Robin Hines; siblings Delores Myers, Betty Roberts, Fred Williamson, and Larry Williamson. He was also a cherished grandfather to Bryan Williamson (Julia), Carly Bell (Harold), Katie Casianp (Andre), Jordan Hines (Kaity), Spencer Foster (Anna), Shelby Foster, and Gage Foster; and fourteen great-grandchildren; Bill was extremely close with his nephew Clayton Walthall and niece Melissa Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rachel Williamson, and his son, Blane Williamson, and son in law Skip Foster.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bill's life will be on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Church of Caney, 900 S. Ridgeway, with Pastor Brad Sanders officiating.   Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Navy will follow the service.
