James E. Plummer/Moore

James E. Plummer/Moore born on Feb. 2, 1946, in Albuquerque, NM to Beatrice Clark and later found through DNA Reverend Kenneth Klose of Chicago, IL. James passed away on Feb. 12, 2025, at Medicalodge in Coffeyville, KS under the care of Harry Hynes Hospice.

 

James attended elementary school in Nowata, OK and graduated high school at Labette County High School, class of 1964. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army on Nov. 4, 1968, serving in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 1, 1972. After his military discharge, he attended Coffeyville Community College for a brief time. Shortly after college, James began working for Union Pacific railroad until his retirement in 2008.

 

In Feb. 1976, James married Margorie "Margie" Bess Read in Coffeyville, KS. To this union two children were born, James "Jimmy" B. Moore & William "Billy" H. Moore. This marriage ended in divorce in 1986.

 

In January 1987, James then married Cheryl Yvonne Neal in Dearing, Kansas.

 

James is survived by his second wife, Cheryl Moore of Salina, OK, sons: James "Jimmy" B. Moore of Sapulpa, OK, William "Billy" H. and wife Stephanie Moore of the Woodlands, TX. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Timmy, Abrianna (Abram Arechiga), James, Danica and Maddux Moore, two great grandchildren: Ivoree and Indie Arechiga, two step- grandchildren: Dylan (Sydney) and Dallas Rogers and three step- great grandchildren: Emmalynn, Rhett and Myles Rogers.

 

James is proceeded in death by his biological parents: Beatrice Clark and Reverend Kenneth Klose, Aunt Billy and Gerald Moore (who raised James from infancy) and step-daughter Stacy Neal.

 

Per James wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home. The family will have a private burial at a later date.

 

Our family would like to thank the staff at Medicalodge (Cathey H., Michelle M., Alexis & Paige K.) for their outstanding care, patience & unwavering support. We would also like to thank the staff at Harry Hynes Hospice for the care they provided James with at the end of his life.
