George Boyle

With a heart full of memories and eyes brimming with tears, we announce the passing of our beloved George Boyle, who departed this world on January 24, 2025. Born in Independence, KS, on April 18, 1948,

George was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew him. His charismatic spirit and unmatched sense of humor were his trademarks, leaving indelible impressions on the hearts of those fortunate enough to cross his path. To quote Mark Twain, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," which perfectly encapsulated George's ambitious nature. George was a man of many talents and interests, but his true passion lay in his work as a concrete layer. His commitment to his craft was unwavering, and he found great satisfaction in the tangible results of his hard work. George's reliable nature was evident in his professional life as a contractor, where he spent decades perfecting his skills before his well-deserved retirement in 2012.

But his industrious spirit didn't stop there. George had a soft spot for all creatures big and small, often extending his care and compassion to animals in need. His hobbies of fishing, hunting, collecting stamps, and coins brought him immense joy, as did his unique talent for metal flake and lace painting muscle cars. George was a dedicated family man, whose love for his family knew no bounds. He was lucky enough to find his soulmate in Diana, to whom he was faithfully married since September 15, 1968. Together, they built a beautiful life in Coffeyville, Kansas, filled with love and laughter. His loved ones will forever remember George as a man who was full of life and who cherished every moment spent with them. As William Shakespeare once wrote, "We know what we are, but know not what we may be," and George was the epitome of a man who continuously sought to better himself, his family, and his community.

George is survived by his loving wife Diana Boyle his two daughters Tammy Blagg and Amanda (Lewis Landsaw) Granddaughters Tabitha (Colby Starnes), Veronica Boyle, Brittany and Jasmine Roach. Grandson James Boyle and five great grandsons. Two Sisters Jackie (Montey Redding) and Beckey Isle. Brother Ed (Joni Payne) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his cherrished Daughter Kelly Kay Boyle, father George Boyle Sr. and his two sisters Georgia Beth and Mary Joana as well as his mother and step father Frances and Max Payne. Today and always, may we remember George not for his departure, but for his vivacious spirit, his enduring legacy, and the love he instilled in his family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the First Assembly of God at 10:00 am with Pastor Randy DePriest officiating. Friends are invited to sign the register and support the family on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at David W Barnes Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the First Assembly of God and they may be left with or sent in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Road Coffeyville, KS 67337. We invite everyone whose life was touched by George to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page, as we continue to celebrate his life and all the joy he brought into ours. George, may your laughter echo in our ears, and your love remain in our hearts, forever and always.
