Teresa Lynn Bonham

Teresa Lynn Bonham, age 70, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her three children on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Teresa was born on January 15, 1954 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Virgil and Neleta (Johnson) Pippin.  She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended local schools.

On October 7, 1972 she was united in marriage to Doug Nevin.  From their union two daughters were born, Krissy and Tiffany.  Doug preceded her in death in 1989.  Teresa later met and fell in love with George E. Bonham and they were wed on February 6, 1993 at the Brown Mansion in Coffeyville.  Of this union a son, Zachary was born.  George preceded her in death in 2021.

Teresa was a woman full of life and love.  She loved being a homemaker, taking care of her husband and kids.  For a time, she drove a dump truck alongside her husband, she owned and operated The Fishin’ Hole bait shop and worked in the meat department at Elmores.  Her hobbies included fishing, going to the casino, playing Bingo, doing yard work and being outdoors, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, but most of all she loved the time she spent surrounded by her family and her fur babies.  The last three years of Teresa’s life, her daughter Krissy moved in with her to be by her side and to help take care of her. This provided so much love and comfort for Teresa, especially during difficult days.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Krissy Cline, Tiffany Nevin and husband, Tim Farmer, Zachary Bonham and wife, Shiann, grandchildren, Hunter (Domanique) Cline, Keely Cline, Zacharia Bonham, Tobias Bonham, Tyleigha Hudson, five great grandchildren, her siblings, Brenda Bigbie, Jimmie Pippin, Cheryl (Mike) Griffin), Donna Palmer, her wiener dogs, Ginger and Abby and her grand fur babies along with numerous extended family and friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Neleta Pippin, husbands, Doug Nevin and George Bonham, brothers, Gary Pippin and Rickie Pippin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

Funeral Services for Teresa will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Coffeyville.  Chaplain Keith Springer will officiate.  Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
