Zachary Lynn Evans

Zachary Lynn Evans, 24, of Coffeyville and New Blaine, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Coffeyville.

 

He was born on August 12, 1999, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Clarence Clifford Evans and Mistey Ledbetter. Zachary grew up and attended school in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma before moving to Arkansas where he completed his education graduating from Scranton High School in Scranton, Arkansas. Zachary never knew a stranger; he made friends everywhere he went and maintained those relationships with genuine care and love.

 

Zachary was a man of many talents and passions. He worked as a tree trimmer for the Arkansas Electric Power Distribution Company. His dedication and hard work were recognized, and he was awarded for his contributions to the company. Beyond his professional life, Zachary was an avid outdoorsman. He had a deep love for fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, shooting guns, and working on cars and pickups. His adventurous spirit was infectious, and he was always encouraging those around him to join in his thrilling escapades. Zachary's love for his family was unparalleled. He cherished spending time with his family and his relationships with them were the cornerstone of his life.

 

Zachary is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mistey and Clarence Hayden; father, Cifford Evans; brothers, Michael Ledbetter and Cliff Evans, Jr. and fiancée, Kaylee Moore; brother, Cooper Evans; nephews, Sawyer and Beau; nieces, Paizlee, and Jayonna,; paternal grandmother, Judy Yates; maternal step-grandfather, Milton Berryman; aunt, Samantha Berryman; uncle, Justin Ledbetter; bonus mom, Debbie Redding; and  several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kathryn Berryman; paternal grandfather, Terry Evans; and paternal step-grandfather, Carl Yates.

 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

 

A service celebrating Zachary's life will be on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God 1501 West 8th St. in Coffeyville with Pastor Randy DePriest officiating.
