Phyllis A. Beeson, 83, of Coffeyville passed away on July 8, 2024, at Medicalodge of Coffeyville on Midland.
She was born on May 31, 1941, in Coffeyville, to Glen and Lorene (Pitzer) Lewis. Phyllis grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School.
Phyllis married the love of her life, John Beeson, on September 25, 1959, in Coffeyville. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Phyllis found great fulfillment as a wife and mother and later in her career as an accountant, serving the B&R Computer Service with diligence and dedication until her well-deserved retirement. A woman of faith, Phyllis was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. Above all, what mattered most to Phyllis was spending quality time with her family.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, John; their daughters Johnene Marcum and Kathy Gregory; her sister Judy Ford; and brothers Gerald and Don Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Lorene Lewis, and her brother Jim Lewis.
A funeral service to celebrate Phyllis's life will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Patio in Fairview Cemetery with Chaplain Steven Foraker. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
