John Daniel Twitchell, 64, of Coffeyville passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at his home
He was born on November 16, 1959, in Coffeyville to Virgil and Jeanette (Caffey) Twitchell. John grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School and attending Coffeyville Community College.
A proud member of the United Auto Workers union, John spent his career as an assembler at John Deere Coffeyville Works (formerly Funk Mfg. Co.) His talent for assembly and dedication to his work was widely recognized. Yet, John's achievements extended far beyond his professional life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a passionate fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, and an exceptional cook, especially when grilling was involved. John found joy and peace in these simple pleasures.
John's most cherished moments were those spent with his loved ones. His love for his family was immeasurable, particularly for his son, Lucas, and his grandchildren, Lincoln and Everly.
He is survived by his son Lucas (Kaitlyn Foster) Twitchell, his grandchildren Lincoln and Everly Twitchell, his sister Debbie (Steve) Bigham, his brother Allen Twitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Jeanette Twitchell.
John's love for his family was truly the cornerstone of his life.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
