Sheryl Ann Robbins

 

Sheryl Ann Robbins, age 60, of Dearing, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her home.

 

Sheryl was born on March 23, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri to Virgil W. Scott and Dorothy M. (Stumfoll) Scott. She grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where she graduated from Field Kindley High School and furthered her education at Coffeyville Community College.

 

Sheryl absolutely loved animals. During high school she was active in the Rodeo Club. There she found a lifelong love for horses and barrel racing. She also worked at a veterinary clinic for four years. A past time she enjoyed was going on motorcycle rides, but most of all she loved spending hours shopping and antiquing.

 

Sheryl was a caring and compassionate person with a lot of patience. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at a local nursing home for over 22 years. Sheryl later went to work for Dollar Tree where she loved taking care of customers and took pride in whatever task she was called upon to do.

 

Surviving to cherish her memory is her fiancé, Billy Love of Independence, Kansas, her loving mother and step father, Dorothy and Bob Moreau of Independence, Kansas, her three sons, Jerad Cook of South Carolina, Andrew Cook of Independence, Kansas, James Gaskill stationed in Hawaii with the U.S. Air Force, her granddaughter, Brylee, a loving sister, Angelia Decker of Independence, Kansas, step brother, Robert Daniel Moreau of Independence, Kansas, step sister, Paula Suzanne Moreau of Florida, along with her special four legged companions, numerous extended relatives and many dear friends. Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Virgil W. Scott and by her step brother, Joseph Clyde Moreau.

 

Cremation is to take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

 

A gathering to celebrate Sheryl’s life will be held at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville on Saturday, April 20, 2024, a eulogy will be given by Donna McClure starting at 1:00 p.m. with visitation for family and friends to follow until 3:00 p.m.

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to AWOL of Independence, Kansas; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
