Sherry Maud Churning, 77, of Chanute, Kansas passed away Saturday April 13, 2024 at Wesley Medical

Center in Wichita, KS. Sherry was born on January 30, 1947 to Father, Frank Henry Sears and Mother,

Marjorie Etta McGonigal Parsley.

Sherry worked as an RN hospice nurse for most of her life. She was a proud member of the Cherokee

Nation and loved her family tremendously. Sherry was and always will be an amazing soul. She will be missed dearly but forever in our hearts.

Sherry is survived by:  Son-Chris Churning and his wife Mindy, , Sister- Hennie Moore

Brother- Sam Sears and his wife Yvonne, Grandchildren- Melissa Churning and her husband Brandon Seaburg, Mike Churning

Sherry is preceded in death by Father, Frank Henry Sears, Mother, Marjorie Etta McGonigal Parsley, and

Husband, Michael Churning.

A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.

Cremation has been requested at this time.
