Michael David Price

Michael David Price passed away at the age of 67 at Medicalodges on Midland in Coffeyville, Kansas on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

 

 

 

Michael was born on November 4, 1956, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to David Paul and Virginia Sue (Yeubanks) Price.  Michael and his family resided in Wichita, Kansas until he was 16 years old when they moved to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma area.  Michael became a student at Lenapah High School where he also graduated from. 

 

 

 

After graduating from Michael entered the work force obtaining employment at Halliburton in Coffeyville.  A few years later Michael decided to make a passionate career change to play music professionally, making it full time employment. Musical talent runs deep in this mother’s family and those talents were inherited by Michael he was an accomplished guitar player.  For years he traveled all over the United States playing guitar for artists such as Waylon Jennings.  Michael returned to the South Coffeyville area eighteen years ago to be closer to family.  Eight years he began working long side his son Chris at Myers Construction until a debilitating stroke led to early retirement and loss of independent living.

 

 

 

Michael enjoyed gathering with family and friends to play a game of poker, video gaming, fishing, or just dilly dallying the day away. He was known for being a bit stubborn, strong-willed, or maybe he was just determined to do it his way.   Those attributes are what made him unique and loved by his family and friends.

 

 

 

Michael is survived by his sons, Chris Myers and wife Heather, Kelly Myers and wife Sarah, Cole Price and fiancé’ Shawna Gardner; stepson Dustin Goodner and wife Marieli; grandchildren Stetson Shane and wife Lyndsey, Kyndal, Lyla, Lilly, Madison and Karlee Myers and great grandchild Dalaney; brothers Roger and Paul Price.  He is now at rest with his parents and sister Pamela Sue Lane.

 

 

 

Michael’s family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 6 to 8pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 10am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with Pastor J.
