Judith Jo Mary Wooldridge

Judith Jo Mary Wooldridge, age 85, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Medicalodge Nursing Home. 

 

Judy was born on January 8, 1938, in Humboldt, Kansas to Gerald and Martha (Wilhite) Yockey.  She grew up in Humboldt where she attended local schools. 

 

Judy was a kind, caring and hardworking lady.  Some will remember her from the time she worked for Taylor’s Gift Shop, and the local Quick Stop; others will remember her fondly from her time as a paraprofessional at Tri-County and USD 445 School District where she touched the lives of so many colleges and children she worked with. 

 

In 1957 she married the love of her life and best friend, Gilbert Wooldridge in Miami, Oklahoma.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas where they raised their daughters, Brenda and Kimberly.  The family loved to go camping and fishing at Grand Lake in Oklahoma, they took an annual trip to Branson, Missouri for many years.  She enjoyed bowling, and most of all she loved spending time with her family and pets. 

 

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda (Manley) Samuelson and husband, Randy, Kimberly Lain and husband, Rick all of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Tubbs, Samantha (John) Woolley, Derrick Manley, Clint (Elizabeth) Wilmoth, Shane (Shara) Lain; ten great grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jerry Yockey and wife, Dorothy of Joplin, Missouri, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Martha Yockey and by her husband, Marion Gilbert Wooldridge in 2008. 

 

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  The family will greet friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

 

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Grace Fellowship Church in Coffeyville at 1:00 p.m. Chaplain Steven Foraker will officiate. 

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
