Debra "Debbie" Lynn Beeson

Debra “Debbie” Lynn Beeson, 72, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at her home.

 

She was born on August 27, 1950, in Coffeyville to Glenn H. and Leona P. (Huston) Withers.  Debbie grew up and received her education in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School and received her associate degree at Coffeyville Community College.

 

On December 27, 1970, she was united in marriage with Loran Beeson.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their sons Doug and Cary.  Debbie worked for many years as a Special Needs Para at Field Kindley High School she loved working with the students.

 

Debbie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and a life member of the PTA. Debbie served on the U.S.D.#445 School Board for eight years.  She loved traveling and taking vacations with her family, she also enjoyed fishing especially when her grandchildren were with her.  Debbie was a proud fan of Coffeyville Community College athletics especially Red Raven Basketball, she was known for taking cookies and brownies for the players to enjoy.

 

Survivors include her husband Loran of the home; two sons, Doug Beeson of Coffeyville and Cary Beeson and wife Melissa of Pittsburg, and two grandchildren Brian Beeson and Cyra Beeson both of Pittsburg.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Judy.

 

Services celebrating Debbie’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 20, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Yves Kinangwa officiating.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.

 

Friends may sign the register book on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
