Judy Diane Raney

Judy Diane Raney age 70 of Liberty, KS passed away on February 10, 2023 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

Judy was born in Coffeyville on July 18, 1952, to John and Eulene (Knisley) Twitchell. She was raised in Coffeyville and attended local schools. She met Walter Raney and the couple married on September 17, 1971. They welcomed five children and Judy made caring for her children and the home top priority.  She also worked outside of the home at Western Publishing,  as a Para for the school district,  she worked in home health,  and a breakfast manager at Braums in Coffeyville and Independence, KS. She then had her own business, Raney's Royal Dogs.

Judy enjoyed fishing, crocheting dolls and teddy bears, riding horses,  showing mules, where she won Kansas State Champion three years in a row, painting ceramics, playing the slots at the casino,  raising her dogs, and spending time with her family.

Friends and family both were always amazed at how she was able to accomplish all that she would in a day's time, she worked circles around everyone and would always go without to make sure others had the best.

Judy's memories will live on with her husband Walter, children; Jody Stritzke and her husband Garrett, Justin Raney, Kevin Raney, Jim Bob Raney,  and daughter-in-law Pam Raney,  grandchildren; Jeremiah Raney, Elizabeth Raney, Jesse Raney, Wyatt Stritzke, Keegan Stritzke, Stetson Raney, and Kaidence Raney, eight great-grandchildren, siblings;  Linda Deatherage and her husband Robert, Karen Moore and her husband Robert, and Mike Twitchell, and several nieces and nephews.

She now rests with her parents, son Marty Raney,  and sister-in-law  Diana Twitchell.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Veteran's Memorial Patio at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Herrington officiating.  Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Wednesday February 15, 2023, at David W Barnes Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
