Beverly Hepola

Beverly Hepola, age 82, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at CRMC.  

 

Beverly was born on November 2, 1940, in Coffeyville to Terrill and Clara Ballew.  She had a younger sister, Clara.  She attended local schools, completing her education at Field Kindley High School.  

 

After high school Beverly met the love of her life, Ruben Hepola.  On June 11, 1959 they were married, of the union two sons were born, Marvin and Danny.  

 

She was active in the boys’ lives; she volunteered as homeroom mother when they were in school.  She enjoyed playing pool with them and would find many fun things she could take the boys and their friends to go do.  The family took many vacations to Minnesota as well.  

 

Beverly as a daycare teacher and bus driver for 20 years, which she enjoyed.  After she retired, she continued to be involved with children, grandson, Allen and great grandsons, Allen and Mavryc.  

 

She was greatly adored and loved dearly.  She was also very active with the boys, playing games and riding a scooter down the hill to the creek, often saying "It's a wonder I didn't break a hip".  But that never stopped her from going down the hill with them again and again.  There was two words Beverly often quoted when it came to the boys, and that was "Forever more".  

 

She was a good woman, kind, loyal, giving and always valued and respected her marriage of 63 years to Ruben.  She enjoyed reading, playing solitaire and the company of her feline fur babies, Sally and Sadie.  Her and Ruben eventually moved from in town to living in the country, where she loved the outdoors.  She enjoyed watching all the wildlife, the deer, rabbits, squirrels and birds.  With Ruben at her side, they walked many miles and made many trails on thier daily walks enjoying nature and each other’s company.  

 

Beverly is survived by her husband, Ruben Hepola of the home; son, Marvin Hepola; daughter in-law, Dee Hepola; grandson, Allen Hepola; great grandsons, Allen and Mavryc and her two cats, Sally and Sadie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Terrill and Clara Ballew; son, Danny Hepola; grandson, Aaron Hepola and her sister, Clara Mitchell.  

 

Following Beverly's wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  No public services are scheduled at this time.  To leave a message for the family online, visit www.dwbfh.com
