Charles "Ted" Robson

Charles "Ted" Robson, age 89, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Ted was born on August 24, 1933, in Neodesha, Kansas to Paul and Dollie (Boyd) Robson.  He grew up in Neodesha where he attended local schools and graduated from Neodesha High School.

Ted was united in marriage to Juanita Moss.  Of that union 6 children were born.  The couple later divorced.

Throughout the years Ted worked at several places, often working numerous jobs at one time.  He worked for Continental Can, the Coffeyville Flour Mill and Western Publishing for 20(+) years until his retirement.  After retirement he continued to stay busy driving a bus for the local schools and helped as Support Staff for Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.

On September 1, 1989, he married LaDonna Sjolander in Neodesha, Kansas.  The couple blended their families and have enjoyed being together for the past 33 years.  They were loyal and faithful members of the Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville.  He was an active volunteer with the church and would lend a helping hand whenever he could.  In 2000, Ted and LaDonna took a Witness Trip to Paris and loved every minute of it.  He enjoyed talking with people, getting to know them and sharing stories with one another.

After retirement Ted stayed busy driving a bus for the local school district and college.  He would drive the college and high school sports teams to their out-of-town games, and the high school debate team to their out-of-town tournaments.  Whenever there was a need for a driver to take faculty and students on a trip, they knew they could call on Ted.  He and LaDonna enjoyed attending FKHS and CCC sporting events whenever they could.  Ted also enjoyed the outdoors.  He had a soft spot for cats and would feed any stray that wondered near his home.  He also made sure to always keep his bird feeders full to take care of the birds he liked to watch come and go.

Ted’s memory will live on through his loving wife, LaDonna Robson of the home; sons, Robert Robson of Coffeyville, KS, Russel Robson and wife, Connie of Coffeyville, KS, Randy Robson and wife, Jane of Topeka, KS, Ricky Robson and wife, Kim of Belton, Missouri, Rodney Robson and wife, Carla of Coffeyville, KS; a daughter, Regina Springer and husband, Jeffrey of Montgomery, TX; LaDonna’s children, Robert Sjolander and wife, Trudy of Waterloo, IA, Donald Sjolander of Coffeyville, KS, Ronald Sjolander and wife, Debi of Parsons, KS and Bob Sjolander and wife, Diane of Salome, AZ; seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Marge Hemler of Pawhuska, OK along with many extended relatives, church family and good friends.
