Sharon K. (LeClair) Furnas Whited age 77 passed away on November 30, 2022, at CRMC in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Sharon was born on August 9, 1945, to Leonard and Irene L. (Monty) LeClair in Coffeyville, Kansas. Sharon attended school in Coffeyville, completing her education at Pittsburg State University.
In the 60’s Sharon married Darrell Furnas, the couple later divorced. In the 80’s she married Earl Whited the couple also divorced. Both have preceded her in death.
Sharon worked at Coffeyville Motors and Glen Hough in Pittsburg, Kansas and almost 30 years at Coffeyville Journal. Her life consisted of country living and she independently continued the dairy operation that her family had owned and operated until just about 10 years ago.
She was a member of the Original Western Riding Club and her biggest thrill in life was to get Roy Rogers and Dennis Weavers autographs.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, infant children Justin Dewayne, Caroline Sue, and Bryan D Furnas. She is survived by her cousins, and friends Terry, Darlene, and Randy.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 10:30am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas and she will be laid to rest near her children in Calvary Cemetery following the service.
