Julia Sally Jaimez

Julia Sally Jaimez age 94 of Coffeyville, passed away on July 22, 2022 at Medicalodges of Coffeyville.

 

Julia was born in Independence, KS on April 6, 1928 to Eulogio and Cleofas (Sandoval) Rodriguez. Julia was raised in Coffeyville and attended local schools. She didn’t finish high school in order to start working to help with finances. Julia became a certified nurses assistant and found employment with Medicalodges of Coffeyville where she devoted over 20 years of service. She earned the Kansas CNA of the year award and was very proud to receive such an honor. Julia also was determined to receive her education and went back to get her GED while working and having her children. Julia was a devoted Catholic and loved her church and her church family. She enjoyed attending the Faith and Life group, going on walks, spending time with her family and grandchildren. She truly had a servant’s heart and was willing to help wherever it may have been needed.

 

Julia’s memories will live on with her children; Michael Jaimez and his fiancé Dianna Love of Topeka, KS, Tom Jaimez of Kansas City, MO, and Andrew Jaimez and his wife Rhonda of Coffeyville, KS, her sisters Liz Laymon of Wichita, KS, and Louise Jaimez of Coffeyville, KS, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

 

She now rests with her parents, her children; Pete Jaimez, Samuel Jaimez, Daniel Jaimez, Tim Jaimez, and Christina Behrns, her siblings; Mary James, Victoria Perez, Lee Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, praying of the Rosary will be held prior to mass at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may sign the register on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at David W Barnes Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Holy Name Catholic Church and they may be left with or sent in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd Coffeyville, KS 67337.
