Sharon Kay Muller

Sharon Kay Muller, 79, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at her home.

 

She was born on March 7, 1943, in Coffeyville to Jake Carter and Marie (Randolph) Trotter. Sharon grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School.

 

On January 20, 1962, Sharon was united in marriage to Fred Muller in Coffeyville. Following their marriage, they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their daughters, Marcy and Kelly.

 

Sharon loved being a homemaker, she volunteered in the Holy Name Catholic School Library for many years and was supportive of her daughters many activities over the years.

 

She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Holy Name Altar Society, coordinated and served funeral dinners at the church for over 25 years, was a member of the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary for over 40 years and served on the CRMC Foundation Board for several years, but Sharon and Fred’s greatest pleasure was being surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Survivors include her husband, Fred Muller of the home; daughters, Marcy Bunds and husband, Jack of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Kelly Sutton and husband, Greg of Wakefield, Kansas; grandchildren, Monica (Dustin) Martin, Kyle (Natalie) Bunds, Cassie (Stephen) Kraus, and Cayley Sutton; and twelve great-grandchildren with one on the way.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Phyllis Adamson, and one granddaughter, Caitlan Sutton.

 

A Rosary Vigil service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, with visitation to follow at Holy Name Catholic Church. 

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9th at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father James Schibi officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville.

 

Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Sharon’s memory to Holy Name Catholic School or Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
