Edward E. Eveleigh

Edward E. Eveleigh age 71 of Coffeyville, passed away the morning of June 16, 2022 at St. Johns in Tulsa, OK with his loving wife by his side.

 

Ed was born on June 17, 1950 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center to Harold Albert and Norma Jean (Westervelt) Eveleigh. He attended local grammar schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1969. On July 2, 1971 he married the love of his life, Catherine Marie Witwer, they made their home in the Coffeyville / South Coffeyville area where they raised their two children, celebrating 50 years of marriage.  Ed worked 35 years at Jencast in South Coffeyville where he was a fabrication welder and maintenance scheduler until he retired in 2009.  Ed enjoyed wood and metal working, engineering and drafting, as well as working on their family farm.  He had a passion for rebuilding things, spending time with family, and his grandkids were the joy of his life.

 

Ed's memories will live on with his wife, Catherine of the home, son Ed Eveleigh Jr. and wife Mandy, daughter April Riley and husband Eric of South Coffeyville, OK, and his spoiled grandbabies: Kate Renea Eveleigh, John Al Eveleigh, Reegan Marie Riley, Sara Jo Eveleigh, Abigail Jane Riley, Lily Sue Eveleigh, and Jake Robert Eveleigh.  He is also survived by brothers and sisters: Elaine Witwer, Fred Witwer (Jeanette), Marvin Witwer (Glenna), Larry Witwer (Chrystal), Nancy Cordoba (Edi), Herman Witwer (Sandy), and Dorothy Perkins (Bob), and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Norma (Westervelt) Eveleigh, his brothers Harold David Eveleigh and Fred D. Wright, as well as his father and mother-in-law John and Fern (Davis) Witwer.

 

Services will be Wednesday, June 22nd at 11:00am at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, KS with Pastor Dick Smith officiating services.  Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, KS.  Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family during visitation on Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Ed Eveleigh Living Legacy Fund care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave Coffeyville, KS 67337.  To leave the family a message of condolence, and for a live stream of the funeral service, please visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
