Kaelyn Marie Kendrick

Kaelyn Marie Kendrick, age 20, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from injuries sustained in an auto accident on Hwy 169 in Nowata County, Oklahoma.  Her family is in shock and deeply saddened to have lost someone so precious to them as Kaelyn.

On February 8, 2002, a beautiful baby girl was born into the loving arms of her parents, Michael and Tiffani (Eden) Kendrick.  Also, eager to meet Kaelyn was her big brother, Brady.  She was adorable, precious, and instantly loved by all their family and friends.

Kaelyn grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Community Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School and Field Kindley High School.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville.  She loved the Lord and loved her church family.  Not only did she attend church services, but Kaelyn also worked at the church and helped whenever she was needed there.

Her talents had no boundaries.  She was incredibly in tune with animals, especially cats.  Her family would refer to her as “the cat whisperer” because every cat she came across seemed to instantly trust and cling to Kaelyn.  She loved nature and being outdoors.  She enjoyed collecting rocks and fossils, she loved butterflies, blue jays and fishing.  It brought her a sense of peace and serenity to be a part of nature and God’s creations.  Kaelyn was a great cook; they could always find her in the kitchen cooking up something good for them to eat.  Kaelyn enjoyed music and especially loved supporting and listening to her brother, Brady’s band, Ghost in the Atlantic.

Kaelyn will be remembered as a caring and compassionate young woman who loved people and animals.  She always put others before herself.  Kaelyn’s memory will remain precious and special to her family and friends that will miss her deeply.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her parents, Mike and Tiffani Kendrick, brother, Brady Kendrick, paternal grandparents, Steve and Sheryl Kendrick, maternal grandfather, Jerry Eden all of Coffeyville, Kansas.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.  Kaelyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Paula Eden.
