Kay Linn Hyatt

Kay Linn Hyatt, age 73, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville. 

 

Kay was born on June 17, 1948, in Coffeyville, Kansas to A.C. "Jim" Hyatt and Mildred (O'Meara) Hyatt.  She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Field Kindley High School.  Kay moved to Grandview, Missouri where she resided for 11 years then moved back to Coffeyville.  About two years ago she moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she has resided ever since. 

 

Kay worked at various jobs throughout the years, Funk Manufacturing, Industrial Plastics, First National Bank, Individual Mausoleum and K & S Oil Company.  Kay was loved by all who knew her, she was friendly and kind.  She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.  Kay was a lifelong member of the Holy Name Catholic Church.  She was a cook at the American Legion for several years.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. 

 

Surviving to honor her memory are her son, James Hyatt of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Nichole Jean Bell, Ashley O'Meara Bell, Toni Kay Bell, Christian Hyatt, Charlie Neff, Lance Hyatt, eight great grandchildren, and siblings, Jim D. Hyatt and wife, Corky, Butch Hyatt and wife, Sandy, Sue Hook and Bill Hyatt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mildred Hyatt, daughter, Kimberly Kay Bell and sister-in-law, Pat Hyatt. 

 

Following Kay's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

 

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Holy Names Catholic Church the Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow.  Father James Schibi will officiate.  Inurnment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Coffeyville. 

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Holy Name Catholic Church; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
