Norma J. Blecha

 

Beloved mother, and friend Norma J. Blecha entered her eternal resting place at heavens' gates on February 2, 2022, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas with her daughter by her side.

 

On a hot summer day of 1943 Norma Jean entered this world on the 28th of July. She was welcomed and loved by her parents, Leslie Lee and Lucile Carline (Stephens) Cox in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

 

Norma grew up in Bartlesville where she attended school and completed her education through the 8th grade.

 

In 1958 at the age of 15 she married James Edward Ward they shared 13 years of marriage together before divorcing in 1971. Of that union three children were born, daughter Annette and sons Fred and David.

 

Years later Norma met Darrel D. Blecha and they were united in marriage on October 29, 1982.  The couple made their home in Tyro, Kansas and later moved to Caney, Kansas.  Together they had a blended family of six children. Darrel preceded her in death.

 

Norma was a member of the Caney Assembly of God and remained active until her health began to fail and she moved to Windsor Place in Coffeyville where she resided at the time of her passing. She was loved and adored by all that knew her.

Norma's children, Annette J. Clark (Kent) and Fred Ward (Patty) treasure their life with their mother and stepchildren, Darrel Blecha Jr., Donnie Blecha Tommy Blecha and Connie Blecha are thankful for the love she showed them, her grandchildren Angela Brown, Charles Clark Jr. Amanda Yeubanks, Raylene Ward, Christina Tinsley and step grandchildren will miss her greatly, she was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, she has one surviving brother, Delbert "Buddy" Orlin Cox and a host of nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband Norma was preceded in death by her son David, siblings Leslie Charlie Cox, Shirley Ann Ramey, Bertie Lou Cox, Pearl Evelyn Scott, Carol Louise Dilley and Mary Ruth Townsend.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas with Pastor Albertis Bray officiating.  Norma will be laid to rest next to her son, David at White Rose Cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.  To share a memory or leave an online condolence visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
