Paul Leon Robson, age 77 passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at The Legacy on 10th Ave in Topeka, Kansas where he has resided for the last several years.

 

Paul Leon was born on December 28, 1944, in Neodesha, Kansas to Paul Wilford and Dollie Ann (Boyd) Robson.  He was one of eight children.  He attended school in Neodesha completing his education in just the 8th grade.  Paul Leon entered the US Army on December 16, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri and received his honorable discharge in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma on December 16, 1964, holding the rank of Cpl. E-4 at time of discharge.  He was proud of his service to his country.

 

After discharge Paul Leon moved to Texas where he began working on the railroad as a conductor, he was quite proud of being able to drive a train; one hand on the throttle and one on the brake.   He had several other jobs throughout the years of employment.  Throughout his life he had a true nomad spirit, he didn’t settle in one place for long.  He enjoyed camping and the great outdoors.

 

As a young man he married a young lady, Bonnie.  Unfortunately, their marriage didn’t last and later divorced.

 

Paul Leon is survived by his sister, Marge and brother, Ted, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.  Nephews, Russell, and Rob came to his aide when he needed help when he could no longer care for himself.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Don, Rex and Ray, sisters, Sharon, and Francie.

 

Funeral service will be held under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.  The family request that you join them in celebrating Paul Leon’s life at the Loran Fawcett Chapel, 704 Indiana, Neodesha, Kansas on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 2:00 pm.  The family will receive friends from Noon to until service time at 2pm.  Burial will follow at the Neodesha City Cemetery where full Military Funeral Honors will be conducted.
