Neil Deion Vernon

Neil Deion Vernon of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, January 6, 2021.

Neil was born on November 18, 1968, in Coffeyville, Kansas.  He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers, Michael and Gary, and sister, Charlene.

Neil attended Job Corps where he received his High School Diploma and masonry certification.  He later worked in construction.

Neil's hobbies included swimming, fishing, going to the casino with his sister, Nae and niece, Crystal, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and dancing. If there was a party, Neil was there dancing.  He was "the life of the party'' known to be the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave it.  He was full of life and always brought joy to any room he entered.  He left many positive marks on this earth.  Like anyone else, Neil was not perfect, but he was the best brother, uncle, and friend anyone could hope for.  He was someone you could always depend on.  Neil was and will always be known for being friendly and fun-loving.  The community along with his friends and family will truly miss him.

Neil leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Latecia (Jerry) Springer of Coffeyville, Kansas, Valeta Thomas of Kansas City, Missouri and Deborah (Cordell) Reed of Wichita, Kansas, brothers, Darryle Vernon of Coffeyville, Kansas, Tony Vernon of Coffeyville, Kansas and Eric Hare of Coffeyville, Kansas, many nieces and nephews that he treated as his own, and a host of relatives not mentioned nor forgotten.
