Deborah or "Debbie" as she was more commonly known, was born on October 8, 1953, in Coffeyville, Kansas with her twin sister, Diana to parents, William F. and Pauline M. (Schultz) O'Connell.  She grew up in Coffeyville and attended local schools, graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School.

On August 19, 1972, she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Jeff McDonald in Coffeyville where the couple made their home.  In addition to being a beautician, Debbie helped take care of the home and their son, Shelby.  For a time, she was a member of the Theta Theta Sorority.  Debbie was a wonderful and amazing woman who will be missed by all her family, friends and clients that love her.

She had a gift of being an incredible decorator and interior decorator. She could put together beautiful collages, wreaths and assorted floral decor that were incredible.  She would customize teddy bears and when it came to members of her family needing help making something look good or decorating their own homes, Debbie was the first person they would call. She also enjoyed gambling; her family can tell you she was the luckiest person they knew when it came to winning at the casinos.  But most of all she loved spending time with her family. She adored her son and grandson and would often take them to amusement parks or other outings and trips.

Survivors are her husband, Jeff McDonald of the home; son, Shelby McDonald and wife Kira and family of Edna, Kansas; grandson, Levi McDonald, siblings, Mike O'Connell, Patrick O'Connell both of Coffeyville, Kansas, Diana Evenson of Cherryvale, Kansas, Marie Sales of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma along with numerous extended relatives and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William F.
