Lanny Wayne Eubanks

Lanny Wayne Eubanks, age 70, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at his home.  He was born September 26, 1951, in Coffeyville to Henry L. Eubanks and Kathryn LaHoma Eubanks. 

 

Lanny was raised in Coffeyville and then Valeda, Kansas.  On May 3rd, 1974, he was united in marriage to Terri Kay Eubanks.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville.  Lanny graduated from Labette County High School, Coffeyville Community Jr. College and Pittsburg State University.  He worked for QuikTrip, Funk Mfg. Company and Wal-Mart before returning to Pittsburg State to obtain his Master's degree.  He then spent 27 years doing what he loved most, teaching Introduction to French and Spanish at Roosevelt Middle School. 

 

Those surviving to cherish his memory are his wife Terri, daughter Sandy of the home and son, Brian of Olathe, Kansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gary L. Eubanks and Nathan V. (Skip) Eubanks along with a sister who was stillborn. 

 

Following Lanny's wishes cremation will take place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home.  No services are planned at this time.  A family celebration of his life will take place at a later time. 

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of Southeast Kansas; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home 306 N.
