Christine Leanna Reynolds-Shinkle

Christine Leanna Reynolds-Shinkle age 64 of Coffeyville passed away on November 21, 2021 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

 

Christine was born in Coffeyville on June 29, 1957 to Zelma Kahre. She was raised in Coffeyville and attended local schools graduating from Field Kindley High School. She was raised up in the Lutheran Faith and was confirmed at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. She continued her education at St. Johns College in Winfield and that is where she met Robert Reynolds and the couple were married. They were blessed with two sons. The couple later divorced. She then moved back to Coffeyville for a few years then to Pittsburg where she continued her education at Pittsburg State University before moving to Independence and then settling in Neodesha. She met Gilbert Shinkle and they were united in marriage on May 3, 2002. Christine worked some odd jobs in between raising her children but her most favorite job was selling Avon, she sold truckloads of Avon. She enjoyed country music, traveling, and spending time with friends and her family. She always wanted to make sure her guests were fed and if they hadn’t eaten, she was going to feed them. Christine was likable and loved meeting people and making friends. She always enjoyed the companionship of a cat or a dog and had many over the years. She absolutely adored and loved her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her generosity and her huge heart.

 

Christine’s memories will live on with her husband Gilbert, her sons Rob Reynolds and his wife Brandi and Kurt Reynolds, stepson John Clements and his wife Abby, grandchildren Bailey and Breana Reynolds and step-grandchildren; Grace Marie, Bau Dean, Jazmine Joy, and Paisley Maria.

 

She now rests with her mother Zelma.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:00pm at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
