John "Ray" Robson, age 67, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2021 at The Journey Home Hospice in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. 

 

Ray was born on October 12, 1953 in Neodesha, Kansas to Paul and Dolly (Boyd) Robson. His foster parents were Walt and Loma Beard.  Ray grew up in Neodesha where he attended local schools then went to high school at Labette County High School where he graduated in 1972.

 

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. until he received his honorable discharge.  For a time he lived in Mountain View, Missouri then returned to Neodesha, Kansas.  He was united in marriage to Mary Robson, she preceded him in death. Ray was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

 

He is survived by his siblings, Ted and LaDonna Robson of Coffeyville, Kansas, Margaret Hemler of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Paul Robson of Topeka, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews, other close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dolly Robson; foster parents, Walt and Loma Beard and his wife, Mary Robson. 

 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.  Chaplain David Hunter will officiate.  Burial will follow at Fawn Creek Cemetery north east of Tyro, Kansas. 

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to The Journey Home Hospice; these can be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
