James Evans Liddell

James Evans Liddell, age 79, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. 

 

Jim was born on February 19, 1942 in Parsons, Kansas to Andrew and Barbara (Bane) Liddell.  He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local schools.  He graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1960.  Jim furthered his education attending Coffeyville Community College and Wichita State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. 

 

After completing his education Jim was an accountant working in Wichita, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Bartlesville, Oklahoma before returning to Coffeyville. After returning to Coffeyville he worked at Jencast, Medicalodges and Amazon.

 

On December 27, 1986 Jim was united in marriage to Pam Lindstrom in Iron River, Michigan.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville

Jim was a active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville.  He served as a Deacon and an Elder while also providing services as the church treasurer.  He enjoyed playing golf and liked to go on bicycle rides.  Most of all he loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.

 

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pam Liddell of the home; children, Chad Liddell and wife, Jamie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Christi Keiser and husband, Brad of Sachse, Texas; grandchildren, Alexis, Andrew, Ryan, Zachary, Evan and Tyler; great grandchildren, Beckham, Leo, Brooks and Mack.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Barbara Liddell and by a brother, Otis Liddell. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville.  Pastor Diane Massey will officiate. 

 

Friends may sign the register book on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Coffeyville.  These may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS67337.
